SRM Ghaziabad: SRMIST Delhi-NCR Campus at Modinagar

SRM Ghaziabad is the Delhi-NCR campus of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), located at Modinagar in Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh. It is part of the same deemed university as SRM Kattankulathur in Chennai.

It is not the same as SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat, which is a separate university in Haryana. Searches for "SRM University Delhi" can mean either one, so this independent guide starts by telling them apart.

Institution: SRMIST (deemed university)
Location: Modinagar, Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh
Not to be confused with: SRM University Sonepat (Haryana)
B.Tech entrance: SRMJEEE (listed as Delhi-NCR)
Portals: SRMIST Academia and Student Portal

SRM Delhi NCR: two different institutions

"SRM Delhi" and "SRM Delhi NCR" are used for two institutions that are run by the wider SRM group but are legally separate:

SRMIST Delhi-NCR campus	SRM University Delhi-NCR, Sonepat
Location	Modinagar, Ghaziabad district, Uttar Pradesh	Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Sonepat, Haryana
Legal status	Branch campus of SRMIST, a deemed university	Separate state private university (Haryana Act, 2013, reported)
Website	No separate campus URL confirmed; SRMIST at srmist.edu.in	srmuniversity.ac.in
Grading	SRMIST scale, O to F	Own scale, S to F
Portals	SRMIST systems (Academia, Student Portal)	Own systems; no portal URL confirmed
NIRF	Ranked as part of SRMIST	Files its own NIRF data

On the official SRMJEEE page, "Delhi-NCR" and "Sonepat" are listed as separate campus choices. Check which one is printed on your allotment letter. The Haryana university has its own page: SRM University Sonepat.

What the SRM Ghaziabad campus is

SRMIST's own site lists Delhi-NCR among its campus locations, and the campus is described as an SRMIST branch campus at Modinagar. Students here study under SRMIST regulations and receive SRMIST degrees, just as at Chennai.

Careers360 gives 1997 as the campus's founding year. That may refer to an earlier institution on the same site, since SRMIST itself became a deemed university only in 2002, so treat the date as unconfirmed.

The names "SRM Modinagar", "SRM college Ghaziabad" and "SRMIST Ghaziabad" all refer to this campus.

Courses at SRM Ghaziabad

According to a 2024 Careers360 interview with the campus, programmes include:

Engineering and technology (B.Tech)
Management
Computer applications
Pharmacy
Hotel management
Science and humanities

No official campus course list was confirmed for this guide, so check srmist.edu.in for the exact programmes and specialisations open in your admission year.

Where the campus is

The campus is in Modinagar, in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, in the Delhi National Capital Region. This guide has not verified a full postal address, distances or transport links, so it does not list them. Use the address printed on your SRMIST admission documents.

Also unrelated: SRMU Lucknow (Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Barabanki district) and SRMS Bareilly (Shri Ram Murti Smarak Trust) are different organisations, not part of the SRM group.

Student systems at the NCR campus

Because the Ghaziabad campus is part of SRMIST, it uses SRMIST's systems. SRMIST even publishes NCR-specific forms on its review and revaluation page. In practice that means:

Academia for attendance, timetable and internal marks
The Student Portal (sp.srmist.edu.in) for fees, hall tickets and results
NetID and SRMIST Google email for sign in

See the SRM Academia login guide and SRM semester results. Sonepat students should not follow these steps.

This is an unofficial guide. Before typing your NetID password, check that the address bar shows the official srmist.edu.in domain. Never share your password or OTP with apps, seniors or websites. Third-party apps such as Class Pro or SRM Helper are not run by SRM, so think carefully before giving them your Academia password.

SRM Ghaziabad fees

No official fee page for the Ghaziabad campus was found. Careers360 prints two conflicting "Delhi" B.Tech tables, both labelled 2026 (CSE at Rs 3,50,000 in one and Rs 3,00,000 in the other), and it is not clear which institution each refers to. Rather than repeat unconfirmed numbers, this guide suggests asking the campus for its current fee sheet.

Do not use the Sonepat fee table for Ghaziabad. Sonepat's official 2026-27 fees are on the Sonepat page. General fee help is on SRM university fees and SRM course fees.

SRMJEEE waivers at Delhi-NCR

SRMIST's scholarships page groups NCR with KTR and Vadapalani for B.Tech rank waivers: Founder's 100% for ranks 1 to 40, Merit 100% for 41 to 115, 75% for 116 to 215, 50% for 216 to 340 and 25% for 341 to 490. Sonepat has a different, wider table. Waivers cover tuition only. Dates and counselling are on SRMJEEE.

Hostel at SRM Ghaziabad

No Ghaziabad hostel fee circular was found in this research. Ask the campus for the current hostel and mess charges in writing, and see the SRM hostel guide for the SRMIST circulars that are published.
