SRM JEE, officially called SRMJEEE, is the entrance test SRMIST uses for B.Tech admission, and all three phases of SRMJEEE 2026 are now over: the last exam (Phase 3) was held on 4 and 5 July 2026. As of 16 October 2026, SRMJEEE 2027 dates have not been announced on the official page.
This independent guide explains how the test works, using the 2026 cycle as the reference, so Class 12 students and parents know what to expect next year. It is not run by SRM and cannot help anyone get a seat.

SRMJEEE 2026 is over: where things stand
The 2026 cycle ran in three phases between April and July 2026. Results and counselling for every phase have also finished, according to the dates SRM and Careers360 published. If you are reading this for admission in 2027, treat every date on this page as last year's pattern, not a promise.
SRMJEEE 2027: as of 16 October 2026, no SRMJEEE 2027 dates appear on the official page. Careers360 (updated 18 September 2026) lists all 2027 events as "to be announced" and only estimates that registration may open around November 2026 with the exam around April 2027, based on earlier cycles. That is an estimate, not an official date. Check srmist.edu.in/srmjeee before planning around it.
For phase-wise results and the rank card, see SRMJEEE results.
SRMJEEE 2026 phase-wise dates (for reference)
SRM runs the test in phases, and you need a separate application for each phase you want to take. Application and exam dates below are from the official SRMJEEE page; result dates are as reported by Careers360.
| Phase | Last date to apply | Exam dates | Result (reported) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | 16 April 2026 | 24 to 29 April 2026 | 5 May 2026 |
| Phase 2 | 4 June 2026 | 10 to 15 June 2026 | 22 June 2026 |
| Phase 3 | 30 June 2026 | 4 to 5 July 2026 | 9 July 2026 |
Phase 1 was first announced for 23 to 28 April 2026 and later moved to 24 to 29 April 2026, so old social media posts may show the wrong dates. Exam-day details and hall tickets are covered in the SRM exam schedule guide.
SRM exam pattern and syllabus
For 2026 the official page described the paper like this:
| Section | Questions | Marks |
|---|---|---|
| Physics | 35 | 35 |
| Chemistry | 35 | 35 |
| Mathematics or Biology | 40 | 40 |
| English and Aptitude | 20 | 20 |
| Total | 130 | 130 |
- Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes, English only.
- Marking: +1 for each correct answer, no negative marking, so it makes sense to attempt every question.
- Mode: Remote Proctored Online Mode (RPOM). You take the test from home on a desktop or laptop with a webcam. Mobile phones are not allowed.
- Syllabus: Class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (or Biology), plus English and Aptitude. SRM suggests NCERT books and timed practice with past papers.
The official page linked its "exam pattern" PDF to the syllabus file in 2026, so cross-check the PDF on the admissions portal when the 2027 brochure appears.
SRM mock test and preparation
SRM offers an official mock test before the exam. Because the real test is remote proctored, the mock is also the best way to check that your laptop, webcam and internet connection behave properly. A simple plan:
- Finish NCERT Class 11 and 12 basics for your three science subjects.
- Practise 130 questions in 150 minutes, which is a little over one minute per question.
- Do not skip English and Aptitude: 20 marks with no negative marking is easy scoring.
- Take the official mock test on the same device and room you will use on exam day.
SRM eligibility criteria for B.Tech
- Class 12 (10+2) with at least 60% aggregate.
- Physics and Mathematics compulsory, plus one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, IT, Informatics Practices, Engineering Graphics, Botany or Zoology.
- Biotech, Genetic Engineering and Biomedical B.Tech accept 60% in PCM, PMB, PCB or PCZ type combinations.
- Minimum age 16 years 6 months by 31 July of the year you sit Class 12 exams, and a gap of at most 3 years after Class 12.
These are the 2026 rules. Confirm them in the 2027 brochure once it is out.
Which campuses accept SRMJEEE?
SRMJEEE works as a common test for SRM Group institutions. The official page lists Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Baburayanpettai (Chengalpattu), Delhi-NCR, Sonepat, Tiruchirappalli, Amaravati (SRM University AP) and Sikkim. Seats are allotted by All India SRMJEEE rank and seat availability.
Keep in mind that these are not all the same university. Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Delhi-NCR (Ghaziabad) and Tiruchirappalli are SRMIST campuses, while SRM University AP, SRM University Sonepat and SRM University Sikkim are separate universities with their own fees and rules. Fees differ a lot by campus; see SRM B.Tech fees. For ranking questions, see SRM NIRF ranking.
Application, slot booking and admit card
- Apply on the official SRMJEEE page for each phase you want. The 2026 fee was Rs 1,400 per application, non-refundable, paid online.
- Book a slot when slot booking opens, roughly 2 days before each phase (the official page also says two to three days in one place). There are two slots per day on a first come, first served basis, and a confirmed slot cannot be changed. Careers360 reported 2026 slot booking from 6 June for Phase 2 and from 2 July for Phase 3.
- Download the admit card right after slot booking, using your application number and date of birth.
- On exam day keep a photo ID ready: Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence or school ID.
There is no official "seat finder" tool listed in the research behind this guide, so be careful with sites claiming to predict your exact seat.
Counselling, cutoff and the Rs 1,10,000 payment
Counselling runs separately for each phase, and choice filling is by email invitation. To get the provisional allotment letter in 2026 you had to pay Rs 10,000 registration plus Rs 1,00,000 counselling fee (Rs 1,10,000 in total) before the deadline, or the allotment was cancelled. SRM says all fees other than the registration fee are refundable as per AICTE norms. Classes usually start in August.
SRM does not publish a single fixed cutoff mark in the material this guide checked. Seats depend on your rank, your branch and campus choices, and how many seats are left in that round. Rank also decides tuition waivers of 25% to 100% (see the fees page for the rank bands).
Watch out for fake admission agents. SRM admission through SRMJEEE goes by rank and seat availability, and fees are paid to the institution through its official channels. Be very careful with anyone who offers a "guaranteed seat", "direct admission without rank", "management quota at a discount" or asks for cash or a payment to a personal bank account or UPI ID. This guide is unofficial and cannot promise or arrange admission. Before paying anything, confirm the step on the official page at srmist.edu.in/srmjeee and check that the address bar shows the official SRM domain.
SRM admission for MBA, PhD, MBBS and other courses
- M.Tech: SRMJEEE is also used.
- MBBS at Kattankulathur: admission is through NEET; SRM points students to its NEET MBBS Admissions 2026-2027 Information Bulletin. See SRM medical and dental.
- SRMJEEH (health sciences) and SRMJEEM (management): official 2026 dates were not confirmed in this guide's research, so no dates are given here. Check srmist.edu.in directly.
- PhD: no official PhD admission dates were collected for this guide.
Fees for MBA, BBA and other courses are on SRM course fees.
