What SRM University AP is
According to Wikipedia, SRM University AP was established in 2017 by the SRM Trust under the Andhra Pradesh Private Universities (Establishment and Regulation) Act, 2016. As a state private university, it awards its own degrees. It does not follow SRMIST's regulations, grading or portals unless it says so itself.
The address is in Guntur District within the Amaravati capital region. People also call it SRM Andhra Pradesh, SRM Guntur or SRM Vijayawada. This guide has not verified distances to Vijayawada or Guntur city, so it does not quote them.
Schools and courses at SRM AP
Wikipedia lists three schools:
- School of Engineering and Sciences, which runs the B.Tech programmes (reported fee tables list CSE and its specialisations, ECE, Mechanical, Civil and EEE)
- Easwari School of Liberal Arts
- Paari School of Business
For the exact programme list in your admission year, use the official admissions page on srmap.edu.in.

Scholarships at SRM AP
SRM AP's admissions page mentions full scholarships (tuition and accommodation waiver) and part scholarships (tuition only), without amounts. SRMIST's scholarships page lists SRMJEEE rank bands for Amaravati, for CSE and non-CSE:
- Rank 1 to 40: Founder's 100%
- 41 to 115: Merit 100% (all boards)
- 116 to 2500: 90%
- 2501 to 5000: 75%
- 5001 to 7500: 50%
- 7501 to 10000: 25%
The bands from rank 116 down apply to CBSE, ICSE, listed state boards and some international boards. Confirm in the current SRMJEEE brochure.
Rankings and placement claims
SRM AP was not found in the NIRF 2025 Overall top 100, University top 200 or Engineering top 300 lists. It may sit in a lower band, so this guide does not state any NIRF rank. No NAAC grade appears on its homepage either. Its homepage mentions THE World University Rankings 2027 without stating a rank.
The homepage, updated 13 February 2026, claims a highest salary of 55 LPA, 5,500+ job offers, 100+ international offers and about 1,200 recruiters (the page also says 1,190+). These are the university's own marketing figures, not NIRF data. SRMIST's NIRF numbers do not apply to SRM AP. See SRM placements.
SRM AP student portal
SRM AP does not use SRMIST Academia. Its homepage footer shows links labelled "Student", "Intranet", "Parents" and "Faculty Portal", but their addresses could not be confirmed. The SRM AP student portal guide explains what is known and how to find the right link safely.
This is an unofficial guide. Before typing a password, check that the address bar shows the official srmap.edu.in domain. Never share your password or OTP with apps, seniors or websites. Third-party apps are not run by SRM AP.
SRM AP has not published grading or CGPA rules that this guide could verify, so do not assume SRMIST's rules apply. Treat the SRM CGPA calculator as a rough tool only.
Getting into SRM University AP
SRM AP is listed as "Amaravati" on the official SRMJEEE page, so B.Tech applicants choose it at counselling like any other SRM campus. In 2026, SRMJEEE had three phases with a separate Rs 1,400 application for each, a 130-question remote proctored test and no negative marking. Seats are allotted by All India SRMJEEE rank and availability. Because SRM AP's waiver bands run down to rank 10000, they are much wider than the KTR bands, which is one reason students compare the two at choice filling.
For the School of Liberal Arts and the business school, check the admissions page on srmap.edu.in for the current process. Dates are on SRMJEEE and results on SRMJEEE results.
SRM AP hostel
No official SRM AP hostel fee sheet was found. A full scholarship includes an accommodation waiver, per the admissions page. For current room types and charges, ask the university. The SRM hostel guide covers what is published.
