Where SRM results are published

Safety first. This is an unofficial, independent guide and does not run any SRM portal or ask for your login. Before typing your password, check that the address bar shows the official SRM domain. Never share your password or OTP with apps, seniors or websites. Third-party apps such as Class Pro and SRM Helper are not run by SRM, so think carefully before giving them your Academia password.

The SRMIST Controller of Examinations (CoE) page links its Examination Results Portal to https://sp.srmist.edu.in/. The CoE notes that results shown on the website are "for immediate information". Your official record is the grade sheet.

This covers SRMIST campuses: Kattankulathur, Ramapuram, Vadapalani, Delhi-NCR (Ghaziabad) and Tiruchirappalli. SRM University AP and SRM University Sonepat publish their own results on srmap.edu.in and srmuniversity.ac.in.

How to check SRM semester results

  1. Open the CoE page at srmist.edu.in or type sp.srmist.edu.in yourself.
  2. Check the address bar shows srmist.edu.in.
  3. Sign in to the Student Portal with your own credentials (srm results login).
  4. Open the results section and choose the exam session.
  5. Note your grade for each course and your SGPA. Save a screenshot or PDF for your records.

Parents of SRMIST students can use the parent login listed on the Parents page, sp.srmist.edu.in parent login, or ParentConnect for 2025 batch onwards.

Reading your SRM result

Under SRMIST Regulations 2021 (B.Tech and M.Tech Integrated):

  • Grades run O (10), A+ (9), A (8), B+ (7), B (6), C (5) and F (0).
  • Ab means absent; I means incomplete because attendance was below 75 percent.
  • You pass a course with at least 50 percent of total normalised marks, continuous assessment and end semester combined.
  • SGPA and CGPA are credit weighted and rounded to 2 decimals.

Work out your SGPA, CGPA and percentage (CGPA x 10) with the SRM CGPA calculator.

SRM university exam pattern behind your marks

Regulation 4.6 sets how marks are split:

Course typeContinuous assessmentEnd exam
Theory (T)CLA-1 50, CLA-2 10End semester 40
Theory cum practice (J)CLA-1 45, CLA-2 15Final 40
Project based theory (P)CLA-1 20, CLA-2 60, report and viva 20None
Laboratory (L)CLA-1 30, CLA-2 30Practical 40

So a strong internal score can carry a theory course even if the end exam is average, as long as the total is 50 percent or more.

SRM result date 2026

SRMIST does not publish a fixed result date in advance. What is known for the 2026-27 Faculty of Engineering and Technology schedule:

  • Odd semester theory exams are tentatively from 25 November 2026 (II to IV year B.Tech) and 14 December 2026 (I year).
  • Even semester theory exams are tentatively from 12 May 2027.

Results follow after the exams. Watch the CoE page and official notices rather than social media rumours, and see the SRM academic calendar and SRM exam schedule.

Looking for SRMJEEE 2026 entrance exam results (phase 1, 2 or 3)? Those are a different thing. See SRMJEEE results.

Review of answer scripts

Regulation 8.4 allows a review of answer scripts:

  • Only for theory courses, and only the descriptive part of the end semester script.
  • Apply to the CoE with the prescribed fee within the stipulated time after results.
  • The review is done jointly by you and a designated faculty member. If a discrepancy is found, the grade is amended.

The CoE's review, revaluation and retotalling page (updated 28 March 2024) sends "Apply" buttons to the Student Portal login and lists faculty-specific forms. It does not list fees or deadlines.

As a dated example only, a June 2023 notice for B.Arch, B.Des, BBA, B.Ed and law programmes at KTR, Ramapuram and Vadapalani set a fee of Rs 1,000 per subject by demand draft to "SRMIST EXAMINATIONS" payable at Chennai, with no review for practicals, project work or dissertations. Current fees are not published, so check the latest notice.

Separate revaluation forms appear only for Public Health (MPH, M.Sc).

Failed a course?

An F does not end your degree. Regulation 3.5 lets students clear failed courses through summer semester courses. B.Tech normally takes 8 semesters, with a maximum of 12. Talk to your faculty advisor early about the summer option.

Remember that the F stays in that semester's SGPA calculation until it is cleared, because Regulation 8.6 counts F-grade credits. Clearing it can also affect your final classification, since First Class with Distinction needs no Ab, F or I in any semester.

Grade sheets, transcripts and duplicates

For transcripts, attested copies and duplicate certificates or grade sheets, SRMIST uses the Certificate Request Portal. The CoE page shows a helpdesk email as helpdesk.coe@srmist.edu.in, though the link on that page points to convocationsupport@srmist.edu.in, so check the page before writing.
