The SRM exam schedule for SRMIST semester exams is published on the Controller of Examinations' examination time tables page, and for 2026-27 the odd semester theory exams are tentatively set from 25 November 2026 for II to IV year B.Tech. Hall tickets are downloaded from the official Student Portal.
This page also covers SRMJEEE entrance exam dates and admit cards, since many people search srm exam date for both. It is an independent guide with no login form.

SRM exam schedule 2026-27 (semester exams)
Safety first. This is an unofficial, independent guide and does not run any SRM portal or ask for your login. Before typing your password, check that the address bar shows the official SRM domain. Never share your password or OTP with apps, seniors or websites. Third-party apps such as Class Pro and SRM Helper are not run by SRM, so think carefully before giving them your Academia password.
SRMIST publishes exam time tables at the CoE examination time tables page. The Faculty of Engineering and Technology's Overall Academic Schedule for July 2026 to June 2027 gives these key dates. All exam dates are marked tentative by SRM.
| Event | II to IV year B.Tech | I year B.Tech |
|---|---|---|
| University practicals begin | 10 Nov 2026 | 16 Nov 2026 |
| Last working day | 20 Nov 2026 | 7 Dec 2026 |
| Theory exams begin (tentative) | 25 Nov 2026 | 14 Dec 2026 |
Even semester: practicals from 26 April 2027, last working day 5 May 2027, theory exams (tentative) from 12 May 2027.
The schedule PDF's text was hard to read cleanly, so check the official 2026-27 schedule PDF before planning travel. Other faculties have their own calendars; see SRM academic calendar.
In-semester tests: FT, CA and "CAT"
Students often call in-semester tests "cycle tests" or CAT. SRM's 2026-27 CET schedule names them FT-I to FT-IV and CA-I / CA-II. The exact test windows could not be reliably read from the schedule for each year, so follow your department's notice.
These tests feed your Continuous Learning Assessment (CLA). Under Regulations 2021, a theory course is CLA 60 percent (CLA-1 50, CLA-2 10) and end semester 40 percent.
| Course type | Internal | End exam |
|---|---|---|
| Theory (T) | 60 | 40 |
| Theory cum practice (J) | 60 (45 + 15) | 40 |
| Project based theory (P) | 100 (20 + 60 + 20 report and viva) | None |
| Laboratory (L) | 60 (30 + 30) | 40 practical |
SRM hall ticket download (semester exams)
SRMIST's CoE page links the Online Hall Ticket to the Student Portal: sp.srmist.edu.in hall ticket login.
- Open the CoE page on srmist.edu.in and click the hall ticket link, or type the Student Portal address yourself.
- Check the domain is srmist.edu.in.
- Sign in with your own credentials.
- Download and print the hall ticket. Check that your name and courses are correct.
If a course is missing, attendance may be the reason: below 75 percent means you cannot write that end semester exam. Check with the SRM attendance calculator and talk to your faculty advisor quickly.
Exam instruction PDFs for each faculty (dated 2018) are on the examination instructions page. Read the malpractice and punishments rules and the Examination Policy too.
SRMJEEE 2026 exam dates (entrance exam)
Many searches for srm exam date 2026 or srm phase 2 exam date 2026 are about SRMJEEE, the B.Tech entrance test. The 2026 cycle is over. Official dates were:
| Phase | Application last date | Exam dates |
|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | 16 April 2026 | 24 to 29 April 2026 |
| Phase 2 | 4 June 2026 | 10 to 15 June 2026 |
| Phase 3 | 30 June 2026 | 4 to 5 July 2026 |
Phase 1 was first announced for 23 to 28 April 2026 and later revised to 24 to 29 April, as reported by Careers360.
As of mid-September 2026, SRMJEEE 2027 dates had not been officially announced. Estimates of registration around November 2026 and an exam around April 2027 come from past patterns, not from SRM. See the SRMJEEE guide and SRMJEEE results.
SRM admit card for SRMJEEE

- Carry a photo ID: Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence or school ID.
- The exam is remote proctored online from home on a desktop or laptop with a webcam. Mobile phones are not allowed.
- Pattern: 2 hours 30 minutes, 130 multiple choice questions, +1 per correct answer, no negative marking.
SRM AP and other SRM universities
SRM University AP, SRM University Sonepat and SRM University Sikkim set their own semester exam schedules. Exam dates for those universities were not collected for this guide, so check srmap.edu.in, srmuniversity.ac.in or srmus.ac.in. SRMJEEE itself is accepted at SRM AP, Sonepat and Sikkim, so the entrance dates above apply to them too.
